XL-246 is a professional L-shaped tweezer developed specifically for picking up volume lashes using the handmade method. The 1 cm narrow tip gives you precise control when creating volume fans, and the total length of 11 cm makes the tweezers comfortable to hold during long work sessions. Thanks to the characteristic L-shape, you can easily maneuver around the inner and outer corners of the eye without risking obstructing your view of the fans.

Construction and material

The tweezers are made of brushed stainless steel that resists corrosion and withstands regular cleaning with alcohol and autoclave. The handle is designed with circular grip holes that reduce weight and improve grip even when wearing gloves. The tip is precisely calibrated to hold lash fans together without deforming the fibers – a requirement when working with thinner 0.03–0.07 mm volume extensions.

The difference from XL-245

The XL-245 has a wider tip that is suitable when you want a slightly softer grip for classic volume. The XL-246, on the other hand, offers a narrower 1 cm tip that provides even more point precision – ideal for mega-volume and ultra-thin extensions where every fiber counts. If you are used to L-shaped tweezers and want to upgrade to a more precise tool, the XL-246 is a natural next step.

Usage tips for the handmade method

With the handmade method, you pick up the extension from the strip, roll it against your finger, and manually form the fan before dipping the base in adhesive. With the XL-246, you hold the fan firmly without crushing the fibers – important for the adhesive to penetrate the base evenly and provide maximum durability. Hold the tweezers at a 45-degree angle to the strip to minimize static electricity and prevent the hairs from attracting each other.

Cleaning and maintenance

Clean the tweezers after each client with 70–99% isopropyl alcohol. For deep sterilization, an autoclave at 134 °C for 3 minutes is recommended. Check the tip's calibration regularly – tweezers that have lost their grip should be replaced so as not to affect the result. Store the tweezers in a hard case to protect the tip between treatments.
