Optimal conditions for eyelash extensions

Cyanoacrylate adhesives used in eyelash extensions are sensitive to moisture and temperature. The curing process is directly controlled by these factors:

• Humidity (RH): 40–60% relative humidity is recommended. Below 40% RH, the adhesive cures too slowly and adhesion is compromised. Above 60% RH, the adhesive risks curing too quickly, which results in brittle bonds and reduced durability.
• Temperature: 18–25 °C is the optimal range. Extreme temperatures negatively affect the viscosity and open time of the adhesive.

With a calibrated hygrometer and thermometer always in sight, you can quickly adjust humidifiers, dehumidifiers, or ventilation before starting a treatment – thereby ensuring consistent results for every client.

Always check the readings at least 10–15 minutes before opening your adhesive so the room has time to stabilize.

Storage and maintenance

Place the instrument away from direct sunlight and strong heat sources to ensure accurate readings over time. Clean the display gently with a dry cloth. Replace the battery when the display begins to dim – a weak power source can result in incorrect readings and affect your decisions regarding adhesive selection and room climate control.
