How to use the blade

The 3R blade is used with short, light tapping motions rather than the dragging motions used for hair-stroke techniques. Work in layers and build up pigment density gradually – lighter in the inner part of the brows and darker towards the tail – for a classic ombré look. Because the needles are arranged in three separate bundles, the pigment is distributed more widely per stroke, which reduces the risk of over-pigmentation.

The recommended drying time for the pigment before applying the next layer is 2–3 minutes. Always use a new blade for every client and discard immediately after treatment.

Safety and hygiene

Each blade is sterilely packaged and EO-sterilized during manufacturing. Do not open the packaging until immediately before starting the treatment. Always check that the packaging is undamaged. The Ombré Blade 3R #15 is intended for single use and must never be autoclaved or reused – this is a requirement to comply with Nordic hygiene regulations for PMU and microblading.

Tips for best results

For even pigment retention, the skin should be prepared carefully: clean, degrease, and apply a thin layer of numbing cream according to protocol. Ensure the skin is properly stretched throughout the entire treatment – a 3R blade requires slightly more skin tension than a standard blade for the needles to penetrate optimally and at the same depth.

Combined with the right pigment and correct hand technique, this blade provides a soft, natural ombré result with good longevity. A touch-up is usually recommended after 4–6 weeks depending on skin type and pigment absorption.
