White Marking Pencil – precision for mapping

A correctly drawn template is the foundation for a successful result in microblading and PMU. The White Marking Pencil is a classic wax pencil with a paper casing that provides a clear, white line on the skin – ideal for marking the eyebrow arch, symmetry lines, and starting points before treatment. The white color is clearly visible against most skin tones and does not dry out like a standard cosmetic pencil, giving you time to adjust the template without rushing.

Technical features

The pencil is built around a firm wax core wrapped in a layer of paper. To expose more of the tip, pull the string along the side and tear off a layer of paper – never use a standard pencil sharpener, as this will destroy the wax core. For a truly sharp, thin tip, use a razor blade: cut at a long, slanted angle until the tip is fine enough for the level of detail you need. The technique takes a minute to learn but provides a result that no scalpel or pencil sharpener can match.

How to use the pencil

Clean and degrease the skin in the treatment area before mapping. Draw up the symmetry lines and the eyebrow arch with light, controlled strokes. The wax tip glides smoothly against the skin without pulling or irritating. If you need to correct a line, wipe it away with a cotton pad and some micellar water or cleanser – the wax pigment is not permanently set. Always confirm that the client is satisfied with the template in good lighting before beginning the pigmentation.

Storage and handling

Store the pencil at room temperature and protect the tip between uses. An environment that is too warm – such as direct sunlight or near a heat lamp – can soften the wax core and make the tip harder to control. Keep the pencil's string intact until you need to expose more of the tip, which prevents the paper casing from coming loose prematurely. Clean the tip lightly with a dry cloth after each client to avoid skin residue that can smear the line during the next use.
