Choose the right size

The choice of size is crucial for the final result. A larger rod provides an open, natural curl – ideal for long lashes or clients who want a relaxed lift. A small rod creates a tighter, more dramatic curl and is suitable for short to medium-length lashes. As a rule of thumb, you can base it on the length of the lashes measured in millimeters:

• XS – lash length up to 7 mm
• S – lash length 8–10 mm
• M – lash length 11–13 mm
• L – lash length 14–16 mm
• XL – lash length 17 mm and up

Use and technique

Attach the rod with lash lift adhesive along the edge of the eyelid and allow sufficient drying time – usually 30–60 seconds – before applying the lashes. Place the lashes carefully with a micro-brush or lifting tool to ensure that each lash sits parallel without overlapping. Then apply the perm and fixing solutions according to the manufacturer's recommended processing times, which typically vary between 8–12 minutes per step depending on the structure and thickness of the lashes.

After removing the rod, rinse thoroughly with water or a pH-neutral cleanser to neutralize remaining chemicals. The recommended treatment interval is every 6–8 weeks, depending on the client's natural lash growth.

Cleaning and reuse

The smooth surface of the silicone rods makes them easy to clean after each treatment. Rinse off adhesive and keratin residue with warm water and a mild detergent, then dry with a lint-free cloth. Store the rods in a dry and dust-free space. With proper care, each pair can be used for multiple treatments. Discard a rod if it shows signs of cracks, deformation, or discoloration that could affect hygiene.
