Catalytic burner with long wick - Maison Berger Paris

Catalytic burner with long wick - Maison Berger Paris

The catalytic burner with a long wick from Maison Berger Paris is the part of the lamp that performs the actual work: it burns the fragrance oil catalytically while simultaneously purifying the air in the room. With the patented AIR PUR System 3C®, unwanted particles, bacteria, and odors are eliminated – without leaving residues or masking them with synthetic perfume.

What does the catalytic burner do?

The catalytic burner heats up to the correct temperature and initiates a controlled oxidation process in the fragrance oil. This means that molecules carrying tobacco smell, cooking odors, and pet odors are chemically broken down instead of being masked. The result is air that is actually cleaner – not just fragrant. The long wick is designed for lamps that require a longer wick distance between the oil level and the burner head.

When should you replace the burner?

Maison Berger recommends that the burner be replaced every 200 uses, or when you notice that the flame no longer ignites properly, that diffusion decreases, or that the wick looks discolored and charred. Regular replacement ensures that the lamp continues to perform optimally and that the air purification functions as it should.

Signs that it is time to replace

• Difficulty igniting the burner even after proper soaking
• Weak or uneven flame spread
• Visible discoloration or cracking on the burner head
• Reduced fragrance intensity despite a full oil level

How do you replace the burner?

Replacing the burner is simple and takes less than a minute:

1. Let the lamp cool down completely if it has been used recently.
2. Unscrew the old burner counterclockwise and lift it out.
3. Place the new burner into the neck of the lamp and screw it on clockwise.
4. Let the wick soak up oil for at least 20 minutes before lighting.
5. Light the wick, let it burn for 2 minutes, then extinguish the flame and put on the lamp cap for catalytic operation.

Compatibility and fit

The burner with a long wick is an original from Maison Berger Paris and is designed for lamps that require a longer wick distance. Check your lamp model before purchasing to ensure a correct fit. If you are unsure which model you have, you can find the full range of Maison Berger lamps and accessories.

Storage and handling

Store unused burners in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Handle the burner head with care – it is made of a porous catalytic material that can be damaged by hard pressure or impact. Never touch the hot burner head directly after use.
